Brudermuehle in Bamberg

Due to Corona, most restaurants are now delivering, including the Bruder Mühle in Bamberg. And I really have to say that you have the best delivery service! Totally friendly on the phone, delivery came in the agreed time and then there were also EXTRA biscuits. The lady who brought the food even walked up to the 4th floor with the box, even though my friend came towards her .. DOESN'T MAKE A DELIVERY SERVICE I KNOW! We ordered the Schäuferle with dumplings and sauerkraut. Meat was warm and juicy and the sauce went very well with it. There was also the Kaiserschmarrn and a chocolate nut cake. Again, I have nothing to complain about. In all honesty, I will order from you more often from now on, as long as I can. You are doing a great job!

We ordered the carp fillet to be picked up. It was really excellent and surprisingly a lot, carp, potato salad and especially the tartar sauce! On top of that, we got a very tasty beetroot salad.

The small hotel / restaurant offers food to go in difficult times. And I opted for the duck with dumplings and savoy cabbage. There was also baked apples. ? Highly recommended, very tasty and very nice people. Thanks for the foretaste of Christmas. ??

Unfortunately, absolutely not recommendable. We stayed at the Brudermühle and the friendliness of the staff was more than poor. If I could give less than one star, I would do it right away. Really a shame, as the location has a good location and clean rooms.

Food was great, maybe a bit of room for improvement ... In my opinion, the price was rather high, but again okay for the location. Sitting right next to the bridge and you had a great view there!

The place is nicely located, not too far from the river, and there is a nice patio. Unfortunately, you have to smoke outdoors, which I do not expect in 2020. We ordered Würstsalat. It has been many years since I last received a German sausage salad, but it was far too much servile sausage and far too little bread.

Very good food, prices are reasonable. Pleasant ambience in summer. Friendly staff, clean toilets.

Very nice and good restaurant in the middle of the old town. A little too expensive, but both the Schäuferla and the "Wiener Art" schnitzel were delicious. The chanterelles were good too. A huge dining room inside, a large terrace outside and lots of tables on the square in front of it. Staff a bit overwhelmed and therefore a bit sloppy, but attentive in the end. We also got the espresso which we weren't sure if the order was understood. So to recommend.

It's ok

Staff top super friendly. Had the crispy schnitzel with potatoes and vegetables. Potatoes not good no salt vegetables were a joke a tk carrot and a mini cauliflower schnitzel a joke full of salmon not seasoned and not pounded. The staff does the best job

The food was ok, the service was very good, courteous and considerate. Tried further to arbitrate. However, a special incident means that we will never enter the restaurant again. A man walked through the rows and asked for a donation for himself. Colloquially, one would say that he was begging. We don't give cash for various reasons. But we invited him to choose a dish and a drink. We'd pay for that. I discussed this with the service staff. At the time there was no free table, we only had a table with space for 2 people. He should wait. Then it was said that he would get the food in a transport box. We just accepted that. Then suddenly he was gone, expelled from the restaurant manager. He was probably not comfortable with this "abnormal guest". Below the dignity of the restaurant. Incidentally, it hardly differed visually from other guests. I wanted to confront the landlady. Although she was just seen, she was denied. I had a conversation with the boss's daughter. In it I expressed my displeasure. Business is obviously going well. A little more humility and humanity on the part of the landlady would be appropriate. This guest was not nice enough for her. I wish the landlady that she doesn't feel the same at some point (e.g. at the heavenly gate) and that she is able to reflect. In any case, we will no longer be guests there !!!

The food was very good. Price / performance was good. The service was very friendly. Unfortunately, the data for Corona was not collected. Pent-up demand.

Tourist trap. The staff was clearly trying hard, but had no chance in the much too large outdoor area. Took over an hour and a half for a round of drinks and a small meal. The drinks and the food arrived at the table for various people over half an hour. The food was extremely simple and very expensive even by tourist standards. Two stars for the ambience and struggling staff.

The food tasted very good and the conditions were also very friendly. Unfortunately, this couldn't make up for the long wait (2 hours). I hope for all guests that it was and remains an isolated incident.

Nice little hotel, as centrally located as possible. Very nice and helpful staff. The rooms are clean and cozy. The bed an pillows weren't terrible but not as comfortable as expected. The breakfast buffet was rather poor with little choice. There is no parking. All in all a good place for a 2 day city break, where you only need a place to sleep and shower.

Unfortunately I can only give three stars. The food was good and the service very friendly. Due to the corona regulations, we were given a list to enter. However, all subsequent people and some tables that were occupied received no request to do so. Incidentally, this type of list management does not correspond to data protection, since everyone can see the name and telephone number.

Nice view and a nice liverwurst sandwich. Nothing special otherwise.

Good location and quite good beer. What was very nice was our waiter (a lady) who accommodated our request for fries even if they are not in the menu. However, there was another man who was waiting tables as well and he came across as super rude and unprofessional. He slammed a massive tray with finished food plates on our table and went on speaking to other customers. Then we asked him for the bill and he said “ask my colleague” and just left. Unpleasant overall. But fir a quick “fix” it could work i guess

Fantastic food, absolutely friendly and courteous service and a beautiful atmosphere. Sat outside by a pretty fountain. Everything was very clean and tidy. Service was often present without being intrusive. Extra requests were not a problem. We can highly recommend this restaurant and would love to come back :)

This review relates only to the restaurant. My friends and I reserved a table in advance by phone and everything worked out great. We arrived at the restaurant in the evening and were warmly welcomed and taken to the table. The menu is very clear and the ambience is very inviting and original. The waiter was very accommodating and service minded. We liked that very much. The food was absolutely delicious! The fish was crispy and fresh, top quality. The salad is well seasoned, the tartar sauce homemade and the starter in the form of a soup is well seasoned! Highly Recommended! Price-performance ratio fits! I would love to come back and highly recommend it!

Had a very nice lunch there at the restaurant.

Had a traditional lunch. Was good but not fabulous. Not too pricey

An excellent locatio for lunch overlooking the floating house. We had venison stew and pork shoulder, both fantastic. Service was excellent. Would recommend for it's delicious food and great service.

We were just eating - dishes are tasty, local cuisine. Rauchbier - sehr gut!

Atmospheric lodging location in town centre !

We went here for dinner. The food was not fresh and was not inspired. I had a mushroompastry and well... That was what I got. A pastry on a plate filled with mushroom and gravy. The pastry tasted old. My boyfriend had some mashed potato on the side of his beef and they made a round ball out of it and it had kind of a weird substance. Like if he threw it on the ground it would bounce right back on his plate. There was no moist left in there. But maybe thats something normal in Germany... I don't know. Also his gravy was exactly what they had used for the filling of my mushroompastry. So short version: don't go here if you love good food. The second star we gave this restaurant is for our waitress who was very nice and tried really hard to keep up with the many tables she had to manage alone. Not for the other waitress who looked at us calling her to order, but decided to just walk on by.

Beautiful hotel in the town center with delicious and carefully selected breakfast. I especially enjoyed that the decorations and amenities were tastefully arranged and chosen with attention. From the entrance through the building and into the bedroom I felt that I was cared for and that I was important as a guest. It goes without saying that everything was clean and top quality and the staff was kind and helpful. I can recommend this to anyone: singles, couples, families, travellers.

Visited hotel's restaurant. Simple ice-cream and good coffee.

Lovely location, just next to the much-photographed, precariously floating house on the bridge. We only stopped here for a tea, which came quickly and was served in a smart glass teapot. It was very busy but in a good way, there were plenty of staff on hand to cater. Slightly pricey but that is to be expected at a hotel in such a tourist-heavy location.

Nice clean. Room hall way light a bit annoying, weird movement sensor. Cool view!

Location is awesome, the room is small but cozy, the pricing is higher compare with other similar hotel.
